Amelie☆

I saw a film "Amelir". This is a famous French film. I put this stories outline.

Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulainis a film about an
extremely imaginative young girl, Amelie(Audrey Tautou), who had a very isolated upbringing. The film begins by explaining what happened to her as a child and then moves on to see her moving into her own flat and with her first job as a waitress. The story line is fairly mundane but is jazzed up by Amelie's ways of dealing with things, she meets a man, Nino Quincampoix (Mathieu Kassovitz) and basically plays a game with him. He lost one of his photo albums which she later finds. Instead of simply returning the photo album she does it in a truly unique and exciting manner. The film is presented in a magical way where the viewer is bombarded with trivial yet sweet information on the arrival of any new character, the interesting sub plots through out the film and the strange
thoughts and crazy antics of Amelie herself.

I thought that this is a eccentric story. I have never seen such a film. It was very funny.

In this film, characters' personalities ,such as what he or she likes and what he or she dislikes, are introduced halfway through this story. They are really small things. For example, Amelie likes sticking her hands into the container which are filled with a lot of beans.
Amelie was not loved well by her father and her mother when she was child. But she doesn't lose her innocence at all. She is a very pure girl. She enjoys being in her only funny wordls. Her worlds in her mind are very interesting. For her, a goldfish is a whale.
She likes making people happy. She don't choose the means to ends. Her way of making people happy are sometime almost crimes. She does trespassing.
She tries hard for people around her, but she never thinks of getting thanks from them. I respect her on that point.
She makes people happy, but then she is quite indifferent to her own happiness. Though she falls in love with a man, she wouldn't make an action. She tries to attract his interest in roundabout way. There is a scene that she thinks that her love is about to break. It is her mistake. But she cried. In the story she is disappointed and cried at the first time. It hurt for me to see her shocked look. But it is solved soon happily. Her love bears fruit. I also felt happy.
I like Amelie's childlike character. She is a very beautiful woman, but she does childish things.
I want a lot of people to see this film. You are sure to become to like this film and Amelie. (459words)
