Mother Teresa

Now, Mother Teresa is world-famous. I like her very much. So this time, I chose this book " Mother Teresa ".

I want to write about her things which I don't know well.

For her first 18 years, her name was not Teresa. It was Agnes. And she didn't live in India, but Serbia . Her family were rich because her father worked hard. They has a good home. But when she was only 8 years old, her father was dead. Her family became difficult to live. But her mother was strong for her children. She worked hard. She loved the children. They lived happily. Her mother was very good to poor people. She was a Christian- a Catholic. She prayed to God with the children, and they went to church every week. At the Church, they heard stories about Christian missionaries in India and poor African countries. Agnes liked to hear these stories. And she wanted to live for God. When she was 18, she left her home and her country. And she didn't see her mother or her sister again. After that she became a nun. Though she wanted to help poor people, she could not do it easily. That is because, nuns did go out into the streets. She prayed to God for an answer to her problem. When she was on the train, she heard his answer. The answer was
" Go and work in the slums with the poor people. "
She was the first person to do it as a nun. So the head of the Catholic didn't say "OK" to her soon. After 2 years, she gave a letter from him: he was happy about her new work. And her new life in India started.
I thought that she was honest in her mind, and she was a person who can put ideas into action. I also thought that there are few 18 years old who could do like her in Japan. In the case of me, since I like my family very much, it is impossible for me to say good-by to my family and not to see them again. We tend to think our own success or lack, but she didn't. She don't wear good clothes, but poor blue and white sari. And She didn't want anything for herself, but a home , foods for poor people. I was impressed by her life very much(400words).
